Chosen case studies

We were asked to select a big budget Hollywood movie and a low budget British movie.
As my big budget movie I have chosen The Dark Knight Rises.
As my low budget movie I have chosen Bronson

What's wrong with the British film industry?

Although we have all of the facilities and the studios and the technology we are really lacking some films that will really push the americans out of the spotlight  Although we have films like Skyfall and The King's Speech come along every couple of years and pick up a few oscars we really lack consistency  It seems for every great british film there are several terrible ones that the american's must laugh at.

Although American are constantly bringing out films that have had billions of dollars spent on them and have these big name company's publicising them. England lack the publicising capabilities that American already have. James Bond has had 23 films and they pretty much advertise themselves. The same with Harry porter people just wanted to see it because it is Harry potter.

It appears that the only thing we can really attempt to fight these American films with is James Bond. Although saying that Harry Potter did really take the film industry by stroy becoming the top grossing film series of all time.

We posses such brilliant facilities yet we lack the willpower to bring in the big name films.

The recent success of the new bond film Skyfall will only be dwarfed by another more successful american film coming out at a later date. Although saying that I believe with the right directors, writers and  producers Britain will be able to claim the throne at the top of the film industry
